Rental Requirements

To rent a car with ACL Car Rental, you'll need:

  • Valid driver's license (held for at least 1 year)
  • Passport or national ID
  • Credit card in the driver's name
  • International driver's permit (if license isn't in French or Arabic)

The minimum age is 21 years. Drivers under 25 may incur a young driver surcharge.

Pricing & Payments

Our prices include:

  • Unlimited mileage
  • Basic insurance (CDW)
  • 24/7 roadside assistance
  • Vehicle registration fees
  • Airport surcharges (when renting at Marrakech Airport)

We require payment by credit card (Visa, Mastercard) for the security deposit. Final payment can be made in cash (MAD) or card at our Marrakech office.

Driving in Morocco

Yes, but only certain 4x4 vehicles are permitted for desert travel. Standard rentals are restricted to paved roads. Please inquire about our desert-ready vehicles.

Speed limits are:

  • Urban areas: 40-60 km/h
  • Rural roads: 100 km/h
  • Highways: 120 km/h

Radar controls are frequent, and fines must be paid by the renter.

Insurance

All rentals include:

  • Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) with deductible
  • Theft Protection (TP)
  • Third-party liability

You can reduce the deductible to €0 by purchasing our Full Coverage option.

Our insurance covers travel within Morocco only. For trips to neighboring countries (Mauritania requires special authorization), additional border crossing insurance is mandatory.
